We believe in Privacy by Design. VaultGuard Pro is built to function with minimal data exposure:
No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information.
No Password Storage: We never store your passwords on our servers. All password analysis is performed locally in your browser session or via secure, anonymous API checks.
Local Session: Data analyzed during your session never leaves your browser unless it is an anonymous check against global breach databases.
3. Security Analysis (HIBP API)
To check if your passwords have been involved in a data breach, we use the HaveIBeenPwned (HIBP) API. We prioritize your security during this process:
We use K-Anonymity. Only the first 5 characters of the SHA-1 hash of your password are sent to the HIBP servers.
Your full password is never sent over the network.
The response from HIBP allows us to confirm a breach locally without ever exposing your actual credentials.
4. Third-Party Services
Other than the HIBP API (as described above), VaultGuard Pro does not share your data with any third-party services, advertisers, or data brokers.
